BRAVE MAN TURNS OFF HIS BRAIN STIMULATION DEVICE TO SHOW EFFECT OF PARKINSON’S DISEASE (VIDEO)

A brave man turns off his brain stimulation device to show the effect of Parkinson’s disease to the world. Andrew Johnson was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease in 2009 and underwent a surgical procedure known as Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.
Johnson, who is 39-years-old, turned off the device that stimulates his brain to lessen the symptoms of Parkinson’s in order to show the full effect the disease has on his body. The video starts with Johnson explaining his circumstances and he then proceeds to turn off the device. Once the device is off, Johnson almost immediately begins losing control over the movement of his hands as they become uncontrollably shaky.
Johnson made this video to enlighten those who know very little about Parkinson’s. His blog,YoungandShaky.com, was created to raise awareness of the disease and of his experience with Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.
