Fish Fall from the Sky
Raining animals (fish or frogs) is a rare meteorological phenomenon in which flightless animals “rain” from the sky. Numerous accounts have been reported in many countries throughout history.
There is a theory that explains the phenomenon but has not yet been witnessed or scientifically tested — suggesting that whirl winds traveling over water, produces waterspouts, pick-ups creatures such as fish or frogs, and carry them for up to several miles then eventually falling somewhere.
On March 1, 2010, a fish rain has been reported in Lajamanu, Australia. The event of fish falling from the sky happened in two consecutive days, the third time within a period of more than 30 years. Similar event in the small town occurred in 1974 and 2004.
